This was a lot of fun, I had a blast making this interior. Pictured above is a blockout of a dusty old mill interior. You can find a google drive with the larger images here GoogleDrive

I have learned a lot and grown from this challenge. I hit many new pain points in this process and was glad to find them. I thoroughly enjoyed this challenge and look forward to participating again in the future.

    Thank you for this opportunity

This is my final submission for the “Big & Blocky” Challenge.

I tried to keep it with simple shapes and blocky as I could and overall I believe I managed to capture the mood and composition that I was aiming for with my references.

I have already seen some amazing pieces submitted and I’m quite impressed. I also wish the best of luck to the challengers yet to submit their final artworks.

This challenge has made me realize the vital importance of blockouts, where as before I wouldn’t spend nearly as much time as I should on a solid blockout.

Finally, thank you to the organizers, sponsors, judges and everyone else involved in this unique challenge! Hope I see more of these challenges in the future! 🙂

I have been inspired by the game Stray and Love death robot series. I think some who watched the LDR series can recognize characters from there.

Thanks to everyone who organized and participated in the challenge.

I wanted to thank Emiel for all of his efforts in organizing this challenge and for everything that he done to make that possible.

I wish you the best of luck and hope you are satisfied with the effort you’ve put in your renders.

I think the most important thing I have learned in this challenge was to understand that blockout can and even should be an art in of itself.Previously I thought that blockout was just the initial stage of creating an enviroment.By the end of this challenge, however, I started to recognize blockout as the foundation of a good render.

Once again thank you for the opportunity and good luck.

This challenge has been a blast to be a part of. I’ve learned a lot and had a proper journey making this scene. It definitely wasn’t easy and was also the first time that I made something on this large of a scale but I’m really happy with the result. Looking forward to the next challenge!

    LAST OPPORTUNITY FINAL

Hello! Didn’t make it far out of the concept phase but I had a lot of fun anyway. There isn’t much to show beyond the main shot, so I’ll just include the one. Good job everyone!
